Terms of Business
These Terms of Business will apply in relation to all cleaning service carried out by us for our clients.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. All contracts that the Contactor may enter into from time to time shall be governed by these Terms and Conditions, and the Contactor will ask the Customer for the Customer's express written acceptance of these Terms and Conditions before providing [ any such services ] to the Customer.
The services that we provide for you will be set out in the Agreement between us. We will provide you with an appropriate member of staff after we have ascertained your needs and your cleaner will be properly briefed.
We use cleaners who are known to us and/or have good references, our aim being to ensure that all our personnel are reliable, discreet and honest. If at any time your designated cleaner is not available we will use our best efforts to provide a replacement.
The initial period is 4 weeks unless otherwise agreed and it will then continue until either you or we give at least 39 days written notice to the other to bring it to end.
Access & Keys
You will ensure that our cleaner has access to your property during the agreed working hours.
You will provide us with key to your property and details of any relevant security codes to deal with your alarm system. The details will be kept strictly confidential and only your cleaner will be given the relevant information.
Charges and Payment
Unless otherwise agreed, we will invoice you weekly in arrear and invoices are due for payment within 7 days from the invoice date. We may require that payment is made by credit or debit card and you should complete your card details when requested.
If any payment is not made on time we reserve the right to charge interest at 12 % a year calculated on a daily basis on overdue accounts.
All charges are quoted including of VAT.
We reserve the right to increase our charges and you will be given at least one month's notice of any increase.
If the agreement between us specifies that you are responsible for paying any out-of pocket expenses such as travel costs or the cost of cleaning materials, these costs will be itemised in our invoices and payable by you.
If you have to cancel any cleaning appointment you must give us at least 2 working days' notice. If you give less than this you will be liable for 50% of the charge.
All information acquired by the Company relating to the Client will be treated by the Company as confidential and the Company will not make any use or disclosure of it. The Company will (if requested by the Client) require its personnel to enter into written confidentiality undertakings. The Client will also keep confidential all information it obtains concerning the Company business. The confidentiality obligation will survive termination of the Agreement.
Any complaint about the performance of the Agreement must be made in written to the Company's representative named in the Schedule within 2 working days of the occurrence and the Company will take all necessary action, without cost to the Client, to investigate and (unless it reasonably considers that the complaint was not justifed) take any necessary remedial action.
In the absence of complaint it will be assumed that the Client is satisfied with the Company's performance of the Agreement.
The Company will not be liable for any failure in the performance of any of its obligations under the Agreement caused by factors outside its control. Any such event will be notified as soon as possible and the Company will take all reasonable steps to overcome the problem and resume its obligations.
